To Our Patients,

We understand and deeply respect that you may be concerned about Coronavirus in public places… even at our state-of-the-art sterilized office.

At Kennedy Dentistry, I want to assure you that our office has even further heightened our already rigid sterilization safeguards and office cleaning standards to minimize the possibility of transmission to our outstanding team…or to you, our valued patient. We have always far exceeded all standards for sterilization and patient care.

Our first priority is always the health and well-being of our patients. And that is a priority we take extremely seriously, even with the current disruptions we’re all experiencing.

Your dental health remains important to us as it plays such an important role in your overall health.

When you visit our office, you’ll see we’ve taken all the necessary steps to ensure you have the best patient experience possible. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please do not come to our office and call us to reschedule your appointment. We care for you and all our patients. If we see any symptoms in our patients or our team, we will reschedule the appointment on the spot and send that individual home.

It is just one more way that we can show our high level of care for you…and for everyone in our community. We very much look forward to seeing you, your family, and your friends very soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Patrick Kennedy

Enjoy a Healthy, Beautiful Smile With Teeth Implants

If you’re tired of dealing with missing teeth, you should take time to find out more about implants. These replacement teeth roots make it possible for your dentist to anchor several types of new teeth.

Unlike some dental practices, we both place and restore teeth implants right here; you can get your entire treatment completed in one place. To make your care as comfortable and efficient as possible, we use the 3Shape TRIOS 3 digital scanner and a 3-D CT scanner to plan your computer-guided treatment. Plus, you’ll have access to several cozy amenities during your implant procedure, including pillows, blankets, and massage chairs.

Here are a few of the ways we can use teeth implants to give you back your smile:

  • Single Implant With a Crown – Your dentist will insert an implant in your jawbone, where it will fuse with the bone over the next few months. Then, you’ll return to the office and we’ll attach a crown to it, giving you back a natural-looking tooth.
  • Implant-Supported Bridge – If you have several missing teeth in a row, this bridge can help. We’ll place two or more implants and, after a healing period, attach replacement teeth to them.
  • Implant-Retained Dentures – These dentures are more comfortable than conventional dentures and outperform them. They anchor firmly in place to implants using a system of snaps and balls.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures – For our best experience with dentures, we recommend these. Your new teeth will secure to a sturdy metal bar that is attached to a set of implants. They offer superior comfort, as they transfer the forces of biting and chewing directly to your jawbone.
  • Same-Day DIEM® Dentures – Imagine never being without teeth again. Using just four or six implants per arch, we can secure an entire row of teeth the same day. Walk in without teeth and leave later on with a beautiful smile that functions immediately.

Don’t struggle through life without your teeth. Get them back using dental implants in North Knoxville. Call Kennedy Dentistry today at 865-947-2220 to schedule your consultation. You can also request an appointment using our online form.

Dr. Kennedy and his staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I went in for a cosmetic 2nd opinion and he offered the solutions, and even recommended the most cost effective solution over the most expensive. I have already scheduled the repair and a cleaning on the same day. I am so glad I found this practice!

Common Questions About Dental Implants

What is the dental implant process?

The process can vary, depending on the type of implants you will receive. In many cases, one of our dentists will insert implants into your jaw. You’ll then wait a few months while the bone fuses to your jaw. Once the implants are fully healed, our dentists will use a tiny piece of hardware called an abutment to attach the dental restoration that replaces your missing teeth to your implants.

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost of implants vary, depending on the number of implants used and the replacement teeth used with them. A single implant with a crown typically costs a few thousand dollars. Insurance may pay for part of the restoration, though typically not for the implant itself or the placement procedure.

What do dental implants look like?

A dental implant looks like a small screw. However, no one will actually see your implant because our dentists embed them in your jaw, where they fuse to your bone. The only visible part is the restorations we attach to implants to replace missing teeth. Your crown, bridge, or dentures will resemble your natural teeth.

Do dental implants hurt?

You should not feel any pain at all when getting your new implants, and only mild discomfort after your procedure. We will make sure you’re numb during the placing of your implants, and getting your new teeth should be a completely comfortable procedure. If you’re nervous about your procedure here, you can also receive laughing gas to help you relax.
